About Star International University

Star International University is one of the brand new institutions of higher learning established in 2014 two years after South Sudan gained her independent.It was formerly knownas Cavendish University Uganda - South Sudan Study Centre which was affiliated to Cavendish University Uganda. The name changed to Star International University with the acronym (SIU) when its contract with Cavendish University Uganda expired.

Currently, SIU enrolls more than 6,000 students from every state and territory in the South Sudan and out of those, 30% are international students from the neighbouring countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia and others from as far as Nigeria and Ghana. With some 25 administrative and support staff members, Star International University provides a great variety of opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds.
