  Course Synopsis
  Entry Requirements:
  Normal Entry
  
  To register for the BSc (Honours) in Animal Production and Technology programme (BSc APT), a candidate must satisfy the usual entry requirements for a BSc APT degree as stipulated in the University registration rules. English and Mathematics at O’ Level are compulsory subjects and should normally have been obtained with a minimum “C” symbol. In addition to the above, admission to the BSc (Honours) in Animal Production and Technology programme of study requires an A’ level pass in Biology and/or Agriculture and at least one of the Natural science subjects (Geography, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.)
  
  Special Entry
  
  Notwithstanding the above, candidates with 5 O’Level passes including English Language and Mathematics with a minimum “C” symbol and a relevant three-year Diploma in Agriculture with a combined average pass of 70% (i.e. pass with merit) or higher, from a recognized and accredited institution may be granted admission to the First Year of the BSc APT programme.
  
  Mature entry
  
  Persons who are at least 25 years of age for male and 23 years of age for females on the first day of the academic year in which admission is sought and who are not eligible for entry under the Normal or Special Entry regulations may apply for mature entry provided that applicants:
  
  should have passed at least five ‘O’ Level subjects normally included, Mathematics and English or Equivalents and must have demonstrated potential suitability for university studies by virtue of their attainments and/or relevant work experience.
  should have completed their full-time school or College education at least five years before the start of the academic year in which admission is sought.
  may be required to attend interviews and or special tests at the university designed to assess their command of the English Language, numerate and reasoning ability and general suitability for admission to the degree programme.
