    Course entry requirements
    (a) Level 100
    -Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE): Applicants must have Aggregate 24 or better. Candidates must have Grade D or better in six subjects; three of the six subjects must be core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three must be Elective subjects. One of the Elective subjects must be Literature in English and any other two of the following: French, Government, Music, History, Ghanaian Language, and CRS.

    Those who do not have credit pass in Literature in English but have a high grade in English Language would be considered for admission.

    Applicants who have shown some aptitude for language, that is applicants who have very good grades in other languages could also be admitted (Grades E and F in any subject is not accepted).

    West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE): Applicants must have aggregate 36 or better. Candidates must have Grade C6 or better in six subjects; three of the six subjects must be core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three must be Elective subjects. One of the Elective subjects must be Literature in English and any other two of the following: French, Government, Music, History, Ghanaian Language, and Religious Studies etc.

    Those who do not have credit pass in Literature in English but have a high grade in Core English Language would be considered for admission.

    Applicants who have shown some aptitude for language, that is applicants who have very good grades in other languages could also be admitted (Grades D7 and E8 are not accepted).

    (b) General Certificate Of Education (GCE) ‘O’ and ‘A’ LEVELS
    -Candidates must have five (5) credit passes (Grade 6) including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students) at the “O” Level AND at least three (3) passes at the GCE Advanced level one of the subjects at “A” levels should be Literature in English.

    -Those who do not have credit pass in Literature in English but have a high grade in English Language at “O” level would be considered for admission.

    Applicants who have shown some aptitude for language, that is applicants who have very good grades in other languages could also be admitted.

    One of the ‘A’ level passes must be at a grade not lower than Grade D.

    (c) General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) and Advance Business Certificate Examination (ABCE)

    Applicants must have five (5) credit passes, including three (3) compulsory subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies) and two (2) optional subjects in the GBCE. In addition to Three (3) Passes in ABCE (at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better)

    (d) Mature Applicants
    -Mature candidates must be at least 25 years old at the time of application.
    -They must have working experience in any establishment.
    -Applicants must show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application.
    -Applicants must also provide an introductory letter from employer or show any other proof of employment.
    -Applicants will be required to write EPUC Entry Qualifying Examination in English, Mathematics, General Paper and a Special Paper in Literature in English.
    -The Entry Qualifying Examination will be moderated by University of Cape Coast.
    Applicants who had Credit Passes in English and Mathematics will not write Mathematics and English.
    An access course is organized for interested applicants.

    (e) LEVEL 200

    -Certificate ‘A’, 3-Year Post-Secondary or Diploma In Basic Education (DBE) Certificate Holders

    -Certificate ‘A’, 3-Year Post-Secondary or Diploma in Basic Education with credit passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/GCE ‘O’ Level in Core Mathematics, English and Integrated Science or Social Studies shall be admitted to level 200.

    (f) LEVEL 300

    -Diploma Holders from Accredited Institutions

    -Relevant Diploma holders such as Diploma in Theatre Studies from University of Ghana and other Universities/Institutions with credit passes in English and Mathematics at SSSCE/WASSCE/ GCE ‘O’ Level are admitted at level 300.

    (g) International Students

    International students with qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above will be considered for admission. However, applicants from Non-Anglophone countries must attach to their applications evidence of Proficiency in English.

    -For SSSCE applicants, the minimum requirement is aggregate 24.

    -For the purpose of admission, a pass in WASSCE means Grade: A1-C6

    SSSCE means Grade: A-D
