    Course entry requirements
    (a) Level 100

    Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE): Applicants must have Aggregate 24 or better. Candidates must have Grade D or better in six subjects; three of the six subjects must be core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three must be Elective subjects (Literature in English, Government, Music, History, Ghanaian Language, and CRS) (Grade E and F in any subject is not accepted). In addition to the above requirements, the candidate must have at least a C in French.

    (b) West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE): Applicants must have aggregate 36 or better. Candidates must have Grade C6 or better in six subjects; three of the six subjects must be core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three must be Elective subjects, one of which must be French (Literature in English, Government, Music, History, Ghanaian Language, CRS etc). (Grade D7 and E8 are not accepted).

    (c) General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels
    -Candidates must have five (5) credit passes (Grade 6) including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students) at the “O” Level AND at least three (3) passes at the GCE Advanced level in relevant subjects, one of which must be French for admission. One of the ‘A’ level passes must be at a grade not lower than Grade D.

    (d) Certificate ‘A’, 3-Year Post-Secondary

    -Certificate ‘A’, 3-Year Post-Secondary (French option) with credit passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/GCE ‘O’ Level in Core Mathematics, English and Integrated Science or Social Studies.

    (e) Mature Applicants
    -Mature candidates must be at least 25 years old at the time of applying and must have relevant working experience in any establishment.
    -Applicants must show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application.
    -Applicants must also provide introductory letter from employer or show any other proof of employment.
    -Applicants will be required to write EPUC Entry Qualifying Examination in English, Mathematics, General Paper and a Special Paper in French.
    -Applicants who had Credit Passes in English and Mathematics will not write Mathematics and English.
    -An access course shall be organised for interested applicants before the Entry Qualifying Examination.

    (f) LEVEL 200

    Diploma In Basic Education (DBE) Certificate Holders

    -Diploma in Basic Education, (French option) with credit passes in SSSCE/WASSCE/GCE ‘O’ Level in Core Mathematics, English and Integrated Science or Social Studies.

    (g) LEVEL 300

    Diploma Holders from Recognised Institutions

    -Diploma holders in French from accredited Universities/Institutions with credit passes in English and Mathematics at SSSCE/WASSCE/ GCE ‘O’ Level will be admitted at level 300.

    (h) International Students
    -International students with qualifications equivalent to those mentioned above will be considered for admission. However, applicants from non-English speaking countries must attach to their applications evidence of proficiency in English. Their certificates must be translated into English by a certified translator or an approved institution and duly stamped.

    (i) Admission Target Group

    The B.A. programme targets the following
    -SSSCE/WASSCE, GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level holders
    -Holders of Diploma from accredited institutions
    -Mature applicants
    -International applicants: Non-English speaking applicants with proficiency certificate in English.

    Senior Secondary School Certificate:
    -Passes in core English, core Mathematics, core Science and three elective subjects, with an aggregate score of 24 or better in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or with an aggregate score of 36 or better in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). All passes must be at grade D (SSSCE) or grade C6 (WASSCE) or better.



    General Certificate of Education:
    -An applicant must have at least credit-level passes in 5 subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at the GCE Ordinary Level and at least 2 passes at the

    -GCE Advanced Level. One of the advanced level passes must be grade ‘D’ or better. A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.



    Professional Qualifications:
    -Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) with at least 3 Credits and 2 passes awarded by the Technical Examination Unit of GES. Other qualifications such as Private Secretary and Bilingual Secretaryship are eligible.

    Mature Student’s Entry Requirement:
    -Applicants without the relevant formal academic qualifications may be considered for admission if they are above 25 years old and have demonstrable relevant professional experience. Applicants will also be required to pass an entrance examination and / or an interview.
