  - Successful completion of a relevant* Bachelor degree with a least one year of study, or the equivalent of full time studies in social and behavioural sciences.
  
  - Relevant Bachelor degrees should have at least one year of study in any of the following disciplines:
  
  * Human welfare studies and services which includes social work, youth work, community work, welfare studies and counselling;
  
  * Behavioural science which includes psychology or behavioural science;
  
  * Studies in human society which includes sociology, anthropology, Indigenous studies or gender specific studies; or
  
  * Other disciplines such as political science, policy studies, family law, justice administration, legal studies, family and consumer studies, education with a focus on welfare, public health, health promotion, community health, public health, mental health nursing or community nursing.

  -Successful completion of a relevant three-year AQF Level 7 degree course that contains at least one year, or the equivalent, of full-time studies in the social and behavioral sciences, including content in each of the following areas:
  -Communication for human services/critical thinking.
  Human development or life span psychology.
  -Sociology/social theory.
  -Introduction to social welfare/work/human services.
  -The full year of pre-requisite study and/or specified content must be completed prior to commencing study. Where prerequisite study has not been met, it can be completed by single subject studies and/or through the Graduate Certificate in Human Services, for students who are assessed as having already completed six months/four subjects of relevant content; and/or
  as part of another qualification at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
