  Admission requirement:
  The entry requirements shall be at least credit level passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to form the core subjects with credit in any other one relevant science subject, at the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Exams (UTME) is required.
  
  Direct Entry
  (a) Candidates with at least two A’s at level passes (graded A-E) at the Advanced Level in one or more relevant subjects (Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics) may apply through JAMB Direct Entry (DE) and undertake three – year degree programme from 200-level. The candidate may be required to bridge courses at 100-level.(b) Candidates with OND/HND in relevant fields with a minimum of Lower Credit from recognized and accredited institutions along with the required credit passes at SSCE or its equivalent may equally apply through JAMB DE to undertake a three-year programme at 200-level.

  Admission requirements:
  (i) Admission into the first year (100) level of the programme is through JAMB. To be eligible for admission, candidates are expected to take and pass the U.M.E. examination. They must have, in addition, a minimum of ‘O’ level Credit in five subjects at a maximum of two sittings.
  (ii) Students may be admitted into second year (200 level) of the programme through direct entry if they have good National diploma certificate from recognized Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology in relevant subjects. A minimum of Upper Credit at OND level is required, along with the ‘O’ level requirements for U.M.E. admission.
  (iii) JAMB, U.M.E. subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics or Biology.
