    Course entry requirements
    (a) LEVEL 100

    Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE):
    -Applicants must have Aggregate 24 or better. Candidates must have Grade D or better in six subjects; three of the six subjects must be Core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three must be Elective subjects in General Science and Agricultural Science (Grades E and F in any subject are not accepted).

    (b) West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE):
    -Applicants must have aggregate 36 or better. Candidates must have Grade C6 or better in six subjects; three of the six subjects must be Core subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies and the other three must be Elective subjects in General Science and Agricultural Science (Grades D7 and E8 are not accepted).

    (c) General Certificate of Education GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels
    -Candidates must have five (5) credit passes (Grade 6) including English Language, Mathematics and a Science or an Arts Subject at the “O” Level AND at least three (3) passes at the GCE Advanced level in relevant subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics). At least one of the ‘A’ level passes must be at a grade not lower than D.

    (d) Mature Applicants
    -Mature candidates must be at least 25 years old at the time of submission of application.
    -They must have working experience in any establishment, including self-employment.
    -Applicants must show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth, which is at least five (5) years old at the time of submission of application.
    -Applicants must also provide an introductory letter from employer or show any other proof of employment.
    -Applicants will be required to write EPUC Entry Qualifying Examination in English, Mathematics, General Paper, and a Special Paper (General Agriculture) the EPUC Qualifying Examination shall be moderated by University of Cape Coast.
    -Applicants who have Credit Passes in English and Mathematics will not write EPUC Qualifying Examination in Mathematics and English.
    -An access course is organized for interested mature applicants.

    (e) LEVEL 200

    Applicants admitted at level 200 must have any of the following:
    -Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) Certificate;
    -National Diploma in Agriculture (NDA) from Accredited Institutions;
    -at least a pass in HND in Agriculture, with two years post HND qualification working experience;
    -a certificate holders in General Agriculture from recognized Colleges of Agriculture

    (f) LEVEL 300

    Applicants admitted at level 300 must be:
    -HND holders, with Second Class Lower or better in Agriculture, with two years Post HND qualification working experience.

    (g) International Students

    Admission requirements and procedures for international students are to be equivalent to those outlined above. All foreign certificates shall be submitted to National Accreditation Board for determination of equivalence. In addition, every international student must:
    -complete a Financial Statement that clearly demonstrates ability to pay all expenses associated with his/her study at EPUC,including tuition, accommodation, books, food, health care, and other expenses.
    -pay tuition, hostel and all other fees in full and in advance, for each academic year, before course registration.
    -submit passports and other travel documents for verification.
    -submit a police clearance from home country.
    -reside in the university college-operated hostels.
    -register with the local Ghana police service in ho.
    -unfamiliar certificates will be forwarded to the national accreditation board (nab) for determination of their equivalent, as used in Ghana.

    (h) Proficiency in English Language
    -All students whose native language or previous language of instruction is not English (such as students from Francophone countries) must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, comprehending and speaking English. All students applying for admission whose previous language of instruction is not English may present TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) results, or will be required to write an English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) and pass it. Candidates will have to arrange with TOEFL/ELPT for their transcript to be transferred to the EPUC for processing.
