(a) Applicants must possess a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering obtained at not less than the Lower Credit level from the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro or from any other Polytechnic accredited for the programme, or its recognized equivalent plus a minimum of one year post qualification relevant industrial work experience.

(b) The candidate should also request his or her institution to forward his or her official academic transcript under confidential cover to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.

Course requirements
(i) Applicants must possess relevant National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
from the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke or any recognized Polytechnic of
equivalent status plus at least one year post-ND Industrial work experience.

(ii) In addition, applicants must satisfy all the requirements for admission into the relevant ND
programmes of choice in the Faculty of Engineering, Osun State College of Technology, Esa
Oke, which should include four (4) credit passes in GCE O’Level or SSCE of WAEC or
NECO or NTC of NABTEB obtained in Mathematics, Physics and two (2) other relevant
subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

In all cases, applicants must possess at least a Pass in English language.

(iii) Applicants must also possess credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other one subject from: Biology, Agricultural
Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Statistics, Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanic,
Metalwork, Geography, Government, Economics, Commerce, Further Mathematics, Welding
and Fabrication and Woodwork.
