  Course Entry Requirements:
  (a) A relevant Masters’ degree or equivalent qualification in relevant disciplinary area.
  (b) On special recommendation, including application of the RPL policy and strategy of the
  University of Limpopo and after consultation with and approval by the Head of Department.
  (c) In addition to those requirements above, the skills profile of potential students will be
  assessed and they may be required to qualify themselves with additional competencies as
  deemed to be essential by the Department.
  
  
  Course Duration:
  (a) Minimum two (2) years.
  (b) Maximum four (4) years.
  
•  University of Pretoria, Pretoria  
  Admission Requirements:
  Relevant master’s degree with Statistics major
  A cumulative weighted average of at least 65% for all modules at master’s level
  An average of 65% for the research component completed at master's level
  An admission examination may be required
  Note: Additional modules may be required in order to reach the desired level of competency.
  
  Selection Process:
  A limited number of students will be admitted collectively over all doctoral programmes in the Department of Statistics.
  
  Duration of study:
  2 years, full-time.
