    Minimum entry requirements:
    Option (I): Direct Entry Scheme (Form VI) Qualifications
    - Possession of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or equivalent, with credit passes in five approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent; and
    - He/she has obtained at least two principal level passes in approved subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE); and

    Option (II) Equivalent Qualifications
    - Candidate with one of the following diplomas can be admitted for BA in Population and Development: Diploma in Population and Development, Diploma in Law, Diploma in Education, Diploma in Community Developments, Diploma in Economics, Diploma in Statistics, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Youth Work Development (CYP) Foundation Programme and any relevance social and Science related Diploma recognized by OUT Senate with an average of ‘B’ or GPA of 3.0 with not less than four passes at O’ Level.

    OPTION III
    - Recognition of Prior Learning certificate (RPL) with average of B+ Grade approved by TCU shall be eligible for BA PD program.

    OPTION IV
    - Candidates who do not qualify under options I and II may register for Foundation Courses (OFC) offered by The Open University of Tanzania. Those who pass examinations set at the end of the course will be eligible for registration of BA in Population and Development programme listed above, depending on the subject studied.
