•  Uganda Technology and Management University, Kampala  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) Direct Entry
  A candidate shall be deemed eligible for consideration for admission to MCJ degree programme of UTAMU if the candidate has obtained:
  The Uganda Certificate of Education (O’ level) or an equivalent qualification with at least 5 passess obtained at the same sitting.
  -At least 2 principal passes at the same sitting of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examination (A’ Level) or an equivalent qualification.
  
  (ii) Diploma Entry
  -To qualify for admission under this scheme, a candidate must possess at least a 2nd class (Lower division) diploma in the fields of journalism, media, communication or any field from a recognized institution.
  -The candidate must be holder of a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes obtained at the same sitting.
  -The candidate must be a holder of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with atleast one principal pass and two subsidiary passes at same sitting in Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education ( UACE) .
  
  (iii) Mature Age Entry Scheme
  -For admission under the Mature Age Entry Scheme, a candidate must possess specialised knowledge relevant to journalism and mass communication to ensure satisfactory completion of the course. In addition the candidate must fulfil the Mature Age Entrance requirements of the University.
  
  Course duration: 3 years
  
  Mode of study: Dual Mode (Online and Local Support)
•  St. Lawrence University, Kampala  
  Course entry requirements:
  (a) Direct Entry Scheme
  For direct entry scheme candidates will have:
  -Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its
  equivalent
  -At least two principal passes at one sitting of Uganda Advanced certificate of Education
  (UACE) or its equivalent
  
  (b) Diploma Entry scheme
  Candidates will be admitted to the university if they have at least a second-class diploma award from a recognized institution of higher learning
  
  (c) Access Programme
  Students who hold Kenya Certificate of education (KCSE) and wish to enroll for degree or diplomas have
  to undergo Access Programme. Such students require a minimum mean grade of C (plain) to qualify for the Access Programme
  
  Course duration: 3 years
•  Ibanda University, Ibanda  
  Course entry requirements:
  Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes and at least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent
  
  OR A Diploma with at least a credit/distinction level in the relevant field from a recognized institution or the equivalent,
  
  OR A mature Age Entry Examinations Certificate accredited by the NCHE with 50% and above.
  
  
  Duration: 3 years
•  Nile University Uganda, Arua  
  Admission criteria
  -Direct entry from advanced level, with a minimum of two principal passes at Advanced Level obtained at the same sitting, or its equivalent from recognized institutions.
  -Special entry examination schemes.
  -Certification and Diploma entry scheme: For persons holding Certificates and Diplomas awarded by recognized institutions in relevant fields.
  -Entrants from other recognized Universities.
  
  Course duration: 3 years
