Minimum entry requirement:
To be admitted, prospective candidates must have two (2) Principal passes with at least twenty four (24) points in two of the following subjects:

Physics-Chemistry-Biology OR Mathematics-Chemistry –Biology OR Biology-Chemistry-Geography OR A2 in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences with at least 65% and at least 2 years of work experience (A selection test shall be necessary). Candidates who meet the minimum entry requirements but fail the selection test shall be re-oriented to other programmes.

Minimum entry requirement:
The normal basic requirements for entrance into the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) is the Advanced Certificate awarded by the Rwanda National Examination Council (RNEC) or its equivalent with principal passes in any two subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics; Advanced certificate (A2) in medical laboratory or its equivalent from any recognized institution.
