•  Desert Air Flight School, Windhoek  
  Requirements:
  - You will need to do an aviation medical (Class 2) from a certified aviation medical examiner.
  - Be 16 years of age to start training; however, you can only obtain a PPL at 17 years of age.
  - Be fluent in English
  - Obtain a student pilots license from the Namibian Civil Aviation Authority which we will be happy to assist you with.
  
  The training is separated into two sections, theoretical and practical. The theoretical section will see you being briefed on the various subjects surrounding a PPL.
  
  These subjects include:
  
  • Principles of Flight (How an aircraft flies)
  • Aircraft Technical and General (How aircraft are designed)
  • Meteorology (Weather and how it affects flying)
  • Air law (The do's and don'ts of flying)
  • Human Performance (How the body reacts to flying)
  • Flight Planning and Performance (How to plan and check aircraft performance)
  • Instruments (How to use the various instruments in the aircraft)
  • Navigation (How to fly from one airfield to another)
  • Aircraft Technical (An exam detailing the specifics of the aircraft you fly)
  • Pre-Solo (An exam to ensure that you are safe to fly alone)
  • Restricted Radiotelephony (How to communicate effectively over the radio)
•  Signa Aviation Services, Windhoek  
  The Signa Aviation Services Private Pilot License course will train you to meet and exceed the standards set forth by the Namibian Civil Aviation Authority, including both aircraft handling and technical knowledge. Designed for the recreational private pilot, this course will take a student with no previous aviation experience to a Private Pilot License in either the shortest time possible as full-time student, or in a flexible time frame as a part-time student, dictated by the student’s other commitments.

  Pre-Entry Requirements:
  - ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4
  - Namibian Aviation Medical (Class 2)
