    (a) UTME CANDIDATES
    (i) Candidates are required to have sat for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with a minimum score as approved by JAMB.

    (ii) Achievers University Cut off mark is 140

    (iii) Applicants must also obtain a minimum of five credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC (SSCE)/ NECO (SSCE) or NABTEB. These should include English Language, Mathematics and any three other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study.

    (b) DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
    (ii) DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES (200 LEVEL)
    -As for A (ii.) above, but with 2 passes at either A Level, IJMB or JUPEB examinations. Holders of ND, NCE, or ATS results in relevant disciplines are also eligible for admission. Candidates are also expected to have purchased the Direct Entry form of JAMB for the 2021/2022 Academic Session.

    -Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc.) candidates shall, in addition to A (ii.) above, hold at least two A Level passes in Biology/Zoology and any one of Chemistry or Physics; OR the Registered Nursing Certificate (RN) of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria; OR a B.Sc. degree (with at least Second Class Lower) in any of the Biological Sciences.

    -Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS) candidates shall, in addition to A (ii.) above, hold at least two A Level passes in Biology/Zoology and any one of Chemistry or Physics; Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma of the medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN); B.Sc. degree (with at least Second Class Lower) in any of the Biological Sciences; or HND (with at least Lower Credit) in Microbiology and Science Laboratory Technology.

    -Candidates applying for any of the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) programmes, shall, in addition to A (ii.) above, hold at least two A Level passes, including Mathematics and Physics; OR National Diploma (Upper Credit) in Engineering.

    -LL.B., candidates shall, in addition to A (ii.) above, have obtained two papers at Principal or Advanced level in HSC, GCE, IJMB or JUPEB; OR an acceptable bachelor’s degree. A minimum of WAEC/NECO SSCE/GCE O Level credit pass in Literature in English is mandatory for all intending candidates.

    (ii) DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES (300 LEVEL)
    Candidates should be holders of HND in their respective fields of study. HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics is acceptable for B.Sc. Computer Science. HND in Computer Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering is acceptable for B.Eng. Electrical and Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.

    Holders of professional certificates such as ACA, ACIB, ACIS, ACIN and ACIT are eligible for admission at this level.

    Course Entry Requirements:
    -Admission into Obong University shall be through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) or Direct Entry. In addition to attaining the general required standard in UTME, candidates must satisfy the general university requirements as well as the specific School/Faculty and Programmes requirements. All admissions shall be through JAMB.

    -Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (Government, History, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Literature–in-English) including English Language at GCE O/L, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.

    -Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/L

    -Candidates who wish to change their first choice to Obong University are required to:

    i). Apply for change of Institution through JAMB and

    ii). Obtain Obong University Application Form

    -All candidates will be required to go through the Obong University’s Screening Exercise.

    Course entry requirements:
    (i) UTME (JAMB): Candidates applying for admission into the University through JAMB UTME must have a minimum score of 120 in relevant subjects. Post-UTME screening will be conducted for all interested candidates to ensure that only the best students are admitted as well as to maintain high educational standards.



    (ii) O’Levels: The candidate must have not less than five credit passes (at one sitting) or six credit passes (at two sittings) in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or General Certificate Examination Ordinary Level (GCE, ‘O’ Level) organised by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or the National Examination Council (NECO), including English and Mathematics. Five Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and other relevant courses for all categories of students seeking admission is mandatory.



    (iii) Direct Entry: As from the second phase of development, General Certificate Examination Advanced Level (GCE A’ Level) holders with a minimum of 9 points plus ‘O’ Level English and Mathematics, OND with a minimum of credit pass; or graduates of recognized related programmes may be considered for a direct entry. Candidates need Two ‘A’ Level passes.

    (a) UTME
    -A candidate must possess Five (5) credit passes obtained in not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects which must include English language and any other four subjects from the following: Literature in English, Economics, Government, History, Geography, Mathematics, Biology, Accounts, Religious Studies, Home Economics. In addition, the candidate must have sat for and obtained at least the national minimum cut off mark at the UTME.

    (b) Direct Entry
    -A candidate must possess two (2) A levels passes in any of the following subjects; Literature in English, Geography, Government, History, Economics, Religious studies, Home Economics, Accounts or a National Diploma certificate (ND) with not less than FCGPA of 3.00 or NCE passed at credit or distinction level. The candidate must also possess five (5) credit passes obtained in not more than two sittings in the subjects listed in (A) above.

    Course duration:
    -3 years for direct entry candidates
    -4 years for UTME candidates
