  Admission shall be granted to holders either of the qualifications below:
  -Having worked in a National Statistical System office for not less than 6 years after acquiring a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or any other science related subject
  
  -Applicants who have NTA level 8 / Bachelor qualifications with Statistics or Science related Subjects with a GPA of 2.7 or above.
  
  -Applicants with unclassified degree should have a credit or a distinction in the subject of intended Master's degree.
  
  -Applicants with Pass degrees will also be considered for admission if:- their undergraduate performance in the proposed subject of study was a 'B' grade average or above, and they have satisfied the Centre that they have exhibited academic potential through extensive field work/ research experience of at least three years and/or additional professional development courses of duration of at least three months.
  
  -Candidates who are non-degree holders but do hold Advance or Postgraduate Diplomas may be considered for admission provided that such Diplomas are in the Upper second/Distinction category and are from institutions considered to be Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by Tanzania Commission for University (TCU).

  Course Entry Requirements:
  (i) The entry qualification for a master’s programme by coursework and dissertation requires a person to have at least a Lower Second Class degree (GPA of 2.7) or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning. Only candidates with GPA of 3.5 or above in their first degrees are considered for Masters by thesis.
  (ii) An Applicant who hold unclassified degrees (e.g. B.V. Sc. M.D. etc.) should have a credit or distinction in the subject of the intended Master’s programme. Candidates with Pass degrees will also be considered if:
  a) Their undergraduate performance in the proposed subject of study was a ‘B’ grade or higher.
  b) They have satisfied the relevant School/College/Institute that they have exhibited potential through subsequent research experience and/or additional training.
  (iii) An Advanced Diploma from a recognized higher learning institution with a minimum of an upper second class PLUS Postgraduate Diploma and Secondary School Certificates.
  (iv) A recognized professional qualification (CPA, CSP, ACCA, CA, CIB, MCIM, CMA certificate) PLUS Secondary School Certificates.
  
  Course Duration: 18 to 24 months

  Admission requirements:
  Admission to the MSc Mathematics degree programme a candidate must have at least GPA of 2.7 at a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent with at least one and half year studies in undergraduate mathematics OR
  Advanced Diploma in mathematics with at least a grade B+ or equivalent and at least three years experience in teaching mathematics
  
  Duration:2 years
