    Admission requirements:
    Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

    Admission into Obong University shall be through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) or Direct Entry. In addition to attaining the general required standard in UTME, candidates must satisfy the general university requirements as well as the specific School/Faculty and Programmes requirements. All admissions shall be through JAMB.
    Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (Government, History, Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Literature in English etc) including English Language at GCE O/L, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
    Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/L
    Candidates who wish to change their first choice to Obong University are required to:
    i). Apply for change of Institution through JAMB and

    ii). Obtain Obong University Application Form

    (v) All candidates will be required to go through the Obong University’s Screening Exercise.



    Direct Entry

    Candidates for Direct Entry admission must possess any of the following qualifications:

    Two (2) passes at GCE A/L, HSC, IJMB or approved equivalents in relevant subjects and at least credit passes in three (3) other subjects, including English Language at GCE (O/L), WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than two sittings
    Three (3) passes at GCE A/L, HSC, IJMB, or approved equivalents in relevant subjects and at least credit passes in two (2) other subjects including English Language at GCE (O/L), WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than two sittings.
    Two (2) passes at merit level or above in two (2) recognized NCE, OND, HND subjects or approved equivalents and at least 3 credit passes in other subjects including English Language at GCE O/L, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than two sittings.
    Two “A” level passes including Government or History, Mathematics, Economics, Geography
    Diploma in Mass Communication, Communication Arts, Theatre Arts or any other related field at distinction or Upper Credit level, a Pass in Mathematics, Credits in English Language, Literature in English, other subjects (Government or History, Commerce, Economics, Geography). HND (Lower Credit) in Mass Communication, Marketing, Book Publishing, Printing Technology or related field from a recognized Polytechnic in addition to UTMME requirements

    Admission requirement:
    UTME

    A minimum of five (5) credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, G.C.E O’Level, or National Examination Certificate (NECO) or their equivalents. The five (5) credits must include English Language, English Literature, a minimum pass (P7) in Mathematics and must be obtained in not more than two sittings. All Students must come in through Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.

    Direct Entry

    Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level passes in G.C.E or its equivalents plus passes at principal level in HSC or G.C.E. Advanced Level in at least two relevant subjects obtained in one sitting or they must possess five credits including, English Language, English Literature and a minimum of pass in Mathematics plus OND (Upper Credit) in Mass Communication. The basic entry requirements of the credit level passes in five relevant subjects should be obtained in not more than two sittings or they must possess five credits including English Language, English Literature and a minimum of pass in Mathematics plus NCE Certificate, HND or first Degree.

    Candidates admitted through UME Entrance Examination enroll in the four-year degree programme while those with Direct Entry take three years to complete the programme. Direct Entry students who are expected to begin at the 200 level may be required to take all GST courses simultaneously.
  •  Samuel Adegboyega University, Ogwa  
    Admission requirements:
    For admission into 100 level, candidates must possess credit level passes in five subjects at the SSCE/GCE O'Level/NECO/NABTEB or equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings. The subjects passed must include English Language and Mathematics for the Sciences & Management Sciences programmes and English Language for the Humanities Programmes Candidates awaiting SSCE/GCE O'Level/NECO/NABTEB results may also apply provided the result would be available at the time of Matriculation.

    (B) Direct Entry into 200-Level:
    Candidates for admission into 200-level must have, in addition to requirement for admission into 100-level, passed G.C.E(A/L) in 2 relevant subjects or passed NCE, OND, HND or equivalent at not less than lower credit level.

    (C) JAMB REQUIREMENTS
    100 Level Candidates are required to sit for the 2017/2018 UTME of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attain the prescribed cut-off marks. This is a statutory requirement for admission into Samuel Adegboyega University. Applicants are to ensure that their UTME subject combinations qualify them for their chosen programmes. Direct Entry candidates must obtain the JAMB Direct Entry Forms. Candidates, who did not choose Samuel Adegboyega University initially in their 2017 UTME but are interested, are also eligible to apply for admission and participate in the admission screening exercise of the University.

    Admission Requirements

    UTME:

    i)UTME Entrance Examination candidates must possess five GCE (Ordinary Level) or WASC subjects passed at Credit Level in not more than two sittings. These, of necessity, must include: English Language, English Literature and Mathematics.
    ii)An acceptable Pass in the UTME entrance examination.

    Direct Entry:

    i)Candidate must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level in GCE or its equivalent plus passes at Principal level in HSC or GCE Advanced Level at least two relevant subjects obtained in one sitting in English Literature, Economics, Government or History OR they must possess five credits including English Language, English Literature and a minimum of pass in Mathematics plus OND (Upper Credit) in Mass Communication. The basic entry requirements of the credit level passes in five relevant subjects should be obtained in not more than two sittings OR they must possess five credits including English Language, English Literature and Mathematics plus NCE Certificate HND or First Degree.
    ii)Candidates admitted through the UTME entrance examination enroll in the four year degree programme while those with Direct Entry take three years to complete the Programme. Direct Entry students who are expected to begin at the 200 level may be required to take GST courses simultaneously.

    Admission requirements:
    The Department of Mass Communication, Taraba State University offers two categories of admissions for students pursuing B.Sc. Mass Communication. These are: Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), Direct Entry (DE).

    UTME

    UTME applicants for admission into four years Degree Programme in Mass Communication should posses SSCE/GCE/NECO/Grade II with at least five credits including English, Mathematics and any three subjects from the Arts and Social Sciences, as well as an acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) examination.

    Direct entry:

    Direct Entry applicants for admissions into the three years degree programme in mass communication should possess at least three credits at the GCE (“A” level), Diploma (at least lower credit) and NCE (at least merit level) in relevant field. In addition, the candidate must have five relevant credits at “O” level which must include English, Mathematics, and any three from the Arts and Social Sciences.

    Applicants with Diploma in mass communication, Journalism, Information and Communication Technology, Language and Communication Arts, Law, Public Relation, Marketing and Adverting Practices, Radio and Television production will be preferred.
  •  Koladaisi University , Ibadan  
    Admission Requirements:
    UTME Admission

    All Candidates applying for the 100 Level Undergraduate Programmes at KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, must possess a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent. Candidates awaiting results may also apply.
    All applicants are required to have sat for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and must meet the required national Cut-Off score.

    A Pass grade in Mathematics may be waved for the Arts programmes.

  •  Western Delta University, Oghara  
    Admission requirements:
    A minimum of five (5) credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or in the General Certificate Examination G.C.E. ‘L’ Level, or NECO. The subjects should include English Language, Literature in English, Government or History, Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) or Islamic Religious Knowledge (IRK) and Economics. At least a pass in Mathematics is required and must be obtained in not more than two sittings. AN acceptable UME score is also required.

    Direct Entry

    Direct entry candidates must meet the University Matriculation requirements. To be qualified, candidates must obtain the professional Diploma in Mass Communication, Film Studies and Media related courses of any university or polytechnic as approved by the Senate of the University.
  •  Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu  
    Admission Requirements:
    The minimum entry requirement for undergraduate programmes at Oduduwa University is credit level passes in 5 subjects at the O’Level examinations. The subjects must include English Language, Mathematics and one relevant subject obtained at not more than two sittings. There are other requirements peculiar to some certain colleges and departments.
    Prospective students must attain the UTME cut off mark.
    2 or 3 A' Level Credit Passes are required.

    OND, HND, NCE or other Certificates from a recognised institution are accepted for Direct Entry.

    Admission requirement:
    Candidates seeking admission into the M.Sc. Degree programme (Communication and Media Studies) of Redeemer’s University must possess the following:

    (1)B.Sc./B.A. Degree with at least Second Class Lower Division in Mass Communication,Journalism, Broadcasting, Advertising and Public Relations and Communication or Media Studies.
