    Intake Information:
    Intake for the course work mode and mixed mode programmes are open twice a year, which is every October until November (for the next year February intake) and every April until May (for the September intake). Application for research mode programmes can be made any time throughout the year. All programmes intake are offered only in Semester 1 every session. All lectures are conducted during office hours Monday to Friday (8.00 am - 5.00 pm)

    Entry Requirements:
    Requirements for admission to the Masters Degree programme:
    A Bachelor of Engineering degree with honours (CGPA 2.75 and above) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university

    OR;

    (a) CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants

    (b) CGPA 2.3 – 2.49 with at least 3 years working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants

    ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS

    An international candidate is required to fulfill the English Language proficiency requirements as follows:
    Obtained TOEFL (550), IELTS (6) or MUET (4) results which fulfil the score or minimum band requirements prescribed by the programme; or
    For certain programmes, a candidate is required to sit for an English Proficiency Test (EPT) and if he/she fails to achieve the level specified by the programme, the candidate is required to attend and pass the English Proficiency Module (EPM) in a maximum period of two (2) semesters before he is allowed to register for the study programme. The candidate shall register as a Non-Graduating Student.
    The Faculty/Institute may grant exemption to the requirements specified in subregulation (1) for the international candidate who:
    will be writing his/her thesis/dissertation in the Malay/ Arabic languages;
    has the academic qualifications obtained from any local universities recognised by the Senate; or
    is originally from a country where English is the official language or he/she has the academic qualifications obtained from any higher learning institution which uses English as the medium of instruction.
    The candidate may be exempted from the requirements stated in subregulation (2), but the candidate shall sit for the English Proficiency Test (EPT) and if he/she fails to obtain the level specified by the programme, the candidate is required to attend and pass the English Proficiency Module (EPM).
