  Course entry requirements:
  (i) A Master’s Degree in related science or engineering discipline; OR
  (ii) Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government, with evidence of adequate related research or work experience and as accepted by the Senate; OR
  (iii) Candidates with a bachelor’s degree who are registered for master’s degree programmes may apply to convert their candidacy to the doctoral degree programmes within ONE (1) year after master’s degree registration, subjected to:a. The candidate’s competency and capability in conducting research at doctoral degree levelb. Rigorous internal evaluation by the university. Approval by the Senate
  (iv) A bachelor’s degree with the following conditions:
  a. Obtain a first class bachelor’s degree or the equivalent; OR
  b. Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.67 or the equivalent from academic programmes or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET); AND
  c. Undergo rigorous internal assessment by the university; AND
  d. Obtain approval from the Senate to be accepted as doctorial candidacy. The student needs to show appropriate progression during the candidature period.
  
  English proficiency requirement for International Students:IELTS 5.0/CEFR B1/TOEFL PBT (410-413)/TOEFL IBT (42)/CAE 160/CEFR B2/CPE (180)/CEFR C1/PTE 47/MUET Band 3
  
  Course duration:
  Full-time minimum 3 years, maximum 5 years
  Part-time minimum 4 years, maximum 7 years
  
  Intake: The first week of every month throughout the year
