    Program outline:
    The Master of Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health equips graduates with the specialised knowledge, skills and attributes to examine and improve the health outcomes of populations. You will be able to describe and analyse health issues, develop ethical, evidence-based solutions and plan and deliver a range of public health interventions to effect necessary change. The program examines how climate change, environmental degradation and biodiversity loss present new, rapidly evolving challenges to human health and health systems, including the emergence of new patterns of disease. You will critically appraise the provision of environmentally sustainable health care and become an informed advocate for strategic interventions addressing the health effects of climate change and environmental degradation. The program prepares graduates to become involved in system level change within society to tackle contemporary issues affecting the health of populations.
    You will complete twelve compulsory courses worth a total of 300 units of credit. These are listed below:

    Entry requirements:
    The following criteria apply to students seeking admission to the Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health Program:
    • Possession of a recognised three- or four-year Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline that demonstrates the applicant’s potential to undertake and complete study at AQF level 8 equivalence.
    • Enrolment in the Master of Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health is dependent on applicants successfully completing the eight courses in the Graduate Diploma in Public and Environmentally Sustainable Health.

    Course Duration: 1.5 years of equivalent full-time study. This program is only available part-time.
