    Admission requirements for current grade 12 learners

    (i) An applicant with NSC Grade 12 Mathematics or Technical Mathematics requires a minimum Applicant Score of 330.

    (ii) An applicant with NSC Grade 12 Mathematical Literacy requires a minimum Applicant Score of 345.

    (iii) NSC achievement rating of at least level 40% for Mathematics or Technical Mathematics or 60% for Mathematical Literacy.

    (iv) NSC achievement rating of at least 50% for Life Sciences OR 40% for Physical Sciences or Technical Science OR 55% for Agricultural Sciences.


    Admission requirements for applicants who matriculated prior to 2008

    (i) Senior Certificate.

    (ii) Recommended: Economics, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Science, Biology, Accounting and Bookkeeping.
    OR

    (iii) A four-subject National Certificate (N3) with two languages at Grade 12 level.

    (iv) Recognition of prior learning will be considered.

    (v) Learners must score at least 23 points on the university’s SPS rating scale.
