  (i) Direct entry
  -Two ‘A’ level passes in Literature in English and one other Arts subject.
  -NCE (Merit grade) in English Language
  -OND in relevant field not below Upper credit grade
  -HND in relevant field not below Lower Credit grade
  
  (ii) UTME
  Five credit passes in Literature in English and English Language, one other Arts subject and any other two or three subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE or equivalent examinations.
  
  (iii) UTME subjects: English Language, Literature in English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.
  
  Direct Entry candidates must in addition meet the UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.
