  (A) the Home Science Programme
  
  a.UTME MODE: To be admitted into Home Science programme, a student must possess: Five credits in SSCE/NECO/WAEC/GCE ‘O’ Level at not more than two sittings in relevant subjects which shall include:
  
  English Language, Mathematics , chemistry, Biology or Agricultural sciences and any one of the following Physics, Clothing and textile, Food and nutrition, Home Management, Physics, Economics or any order related subjects.
  
  
  
  b.DIRECT ENTRY MODE: (3-year degree programme):
  
  (i) National Diploma in Home Economics, Fashion and Clothing management ,Home and Rural Economics or Hotel and Catering Management with a minimum of lower credit level
  
  ii. N.C.E in Home Economics with a minimum of credit level
  
  iii. HND in Hotel and Catering Management
  
  
  
  C.4 year direct entry program –NCE in Home Economics with a minimum of merit level.
  
  All direct entry candidates must in addition possess the departmental O’ level entry requirements.

  Entry requirements:
  1.Obtain passes at the Advanced Level GCE or HSC/HND in Chemistry and at least one of the following; Biology, Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Physics, Geography, Economics or Mathematics.
  2.Candidates who have obtained OND at approved Agricultural, Fisheries, Forestry, and Wildlife Schools with at least credit Passes in addition to UME requirements may be eligible for direct entry.
  3.NCE (Agric. Science) from a recognised College of Education, NND or HND from a recognised College of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife with at least a credit pass.
  4.HND or NND in the Science (Chemistry, HND or NND Zoology, Botany, or Biology).
