  (i) Direct Entry;
  -O level certificate with at least 5 credits in the following subjects; English, Mathematics, Physics, Agriculture, chemistry, Biology, Food and Nutrition
  
  -A level certificate with at least one principle pass in Biology and 2 subsidiaries in the following subjects ;Mathematics, Physics, Agriculture, chemistry, Biology, Food and Nutrition
  
  (ii) Mature Entry
  
  -O level certificate with at least 5 passes in the following subjects; English, Mathematics, Physics, Agriculture, chemistry, Biology, Food and Nutrition
  
  -Or A certificate in Health related courses with a registered institution – Allied Health Professional council (AHPC) and Uganda Nurses and Midwifery council – UNMC

  Course entry requirements:
  -Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE). A minimum of 1 principle pass in Biology a subsidiary pass in chemistry and another subsidiary pass in mathematics, Physics, Agriculture, Geography, Food & Nutrition.
  -A candidate must be a holder of a science equivalent related certificate to UACE awarded by a recognized institution nationally or internationally.
  -Certificate from any health-related program from recognized institution, must have passed English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics at Uganda Certificate of Education.
  -Other applicants with foreign academic qualifications will be required to show certified prove of the stated qualifications from the relevant examination boards. They must be proficient in English language.

  Course entry requirements
  -The applicants must have done Biology and Chemistry at A’level, plus either physics, mathematics, or Food and Nutrition.
  -A minimum of a Principal pass in Biology, plus a sudsidiary pass in Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics or Food and Nutrition or a Certificate in a Medical Course from a reputable training institution.
  -The applicants must have passed English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or an appropriate science subject at O’level
  
  Course duration: 3 years

  Course entry requirements
  -1 principal pass in biology and subsidiary passes in chemistry and other subject at A level, and a credit in each of the 5 subjects that is, biology, chemistry, English, mathematics and physics at O level.
  -Those with certificate in Nursing, Midwifery, Environmental Science, Comprehensive Nursing and Medical Laboratory Techniques are eligible for DCM.
