  Course entry requirements:
  Applicants must:
  a) Have appropriate preparatory academic training as evidenced by at least one of the following:
  -Be a holder of a Master's Degree of Egerton University
  -Be a holder of a Master's Degree or an equivalent academic qualification of any other recognized institution.
  -Be a candidate enrolled for a Master's Degree in Egerton University for at least one year who has to the satisfaction of the Senate shown exceptional progress in the Research Work to merit upgrading.
  -Be a holder of a Bachelor's Degree whom the Senate has specially exempted from the Master's programme.
  
  b) Fulfill specific requirements as maybe stipulated by respective Department, Faculty/School/Institute/Campus with regard to the field of study
•  Chuka University, Chuka  
  Course entry requirements:
  -Master’s degree from a related discipline from institutions recognized by the Senate as directed by the Graduate School
  
  Course duration:
  (i) 3 years (6 Semesters) Full-time
  (ii) 6 years (12 Semesters) Part-time/ Work-Based; Day, Evening or Weekend
  
  Intakes:
  (i) September, January and May of each year for full time students.
  (ii)December, April and August of each year for part time/Holiday-based/work-based students.
•  Machakos University, Machakos  
  Course Entry Requirements:
  -A holder of a Master degree from a recognized University in areas of specialization relevant to disciplines in the school of Education
  -Must have covered at-least five (5) Units at M. Ed level in area of specialization with B and above or equivalent grade
  -Must show ability to undertake academic research in the areas of specialization
  
  Course Duration: 3 years
  
  Mode of Study: part-time, evening and weekend modes
•  Laikipia University, Nyahururu  
  Minimum entry requirements:
  - Masters qualification in a relevant field from a recognized Institution or its Equivalent from a recognized institution.
