    Admission criteria:
    -Applicants should possess five credits at the ordinary level, which must include credit in English and Mathematics and any other three subjects such as literature in English, Government, economics, Christian Religious Knowledge, Commerce, Agricultural Science, etc. They must sit and pass the Joint Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB) in addition to other screening requirements set by the Senate of the University.

    -In addition to the UME requirements, candidates for Direct Entry Admission shall possess five credit passes in the WAEC in not more than one sitting including English and Mathematics. Furthermore, the candidate must have obtained a Distinction or Upper credit level Diploma in Mass Communication from an institution recognized by the senate of the University of Benin.
