Institutions Offering Master of Science in Clinical Chemistry

•  Haramaya University, Dire Dawa  
  Course Entry Requirements:
  Applicants who have BSc. degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology from recognized governmental higher institutions.
  Applicants who have BSc. degree in Veterinary Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, other Medical and Health professionals from recognized governmental higher institutions can apply if they are willing to take some basic clinical chemistry and related courses given to undergraduate Medical Laboratory Sciences students.
  Applicants graduated from recognized private higher institutions could also join the program based on the Sub –Article: 100.2.1.1 of HU senate legislation.
  All applicants should pass the entrance exam given by the school.
  An applicant ought to prove that he/she has financial sources (sponsorship) to pursue the study program.
  Applicants should have a minimum of two years of related work experience. For applicants from higher education institutes the two year of work experience is optional.
  Applicants will be accepted by the school based on the decision forwarded by Post graduate Program Directorate admission guidelines.
  Priorities is given for female applicants and from less developed regions based on HU senate legislation sub-article 100.1.6 in case screening is a must from two or more competing applicants.
  Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy to fit the program
  Special admissions like applicants with minor physical problems that would not hinder effective teaching should be considered into the school based on HU senate legislation Article 100; sub-article100.1.6. However, any student with visual problem and problem in manipulation of laboratory equipment using his/her both hands should not be selected to join the program.
  Applicants satisfying the admission requirements are required to sit for entrance examination. The examination encompasses written (85%) and oral (15%) examinations.
  Each applicant must score at least 50% to join each Stream. But maximum intake of the eligible applicants will be determined using proposed intake plan of each year and the accommodation capability of the school based on their score of ranking. If two applicants are scored equal marks their CGPA will take in consideration to join the Stream.
  Exemption/waiver of course is considered according to HU senate legislation sub-Article of 100.2.3.8.
•  University of Gondar, Gondar  
  Course Entry Requirements:
  A candidate must fulfill the general admission requirements of Graduate Studies of University of Gondar.
  A candidate must be hold a Bachelor degree in Medical laboratory technology (BSc)
  Candidates should have 2 years of work experience.(Negotiable with the sponsoring organizations)
  Candidates are also required to pass the entrance examinations.
  
  Course Duration: 2 years
