  Course Entry Requirements:
  (i) The entry qualification for a master’s programme by coursework and dissertation requires a person to have at least a Lower Second Class degree (GPA of 2.7) or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning. Only candidates with GPA of 3.5 or above in their first degrees are considered for Masters by thesis.
  (ii) An Applicant who hold unclassified degrees (e.g. B.V. Sc. M.D. etc.) should have a credit or distinction in the subject of the intended Master’s programme. Candidates with Pass degrees will also be considered if:
  a) Their undergraduate performance in the proposed subject of study was a ‘B’ grade or higher.
  b) They have satisfied the relevant School/College/Institute that they have exhibited potential through subsequent research experience and/or additional training.
  (iii) An Advanced Diploma from a recognized higher learning institution with a minimum of an upper second class PLUS Postgraduate Diploma and Secondary School Certificates.
  (iv) A recognized professional qualification (CPA, CSP, ACCA, CA, CIB, MCIM, CMA certificate) PLUS Secondary School Certificates.

  Course entry requirements:
  a) A holder of Bachelor Degree (Education) of not less than 2.7 G.P.A in either English Language, Arabic Language, Kiswahili, History, Geography or Islamic Knowledge; OR
  
  b) A holder of Bachelor Degree of not less than 2.7 G.P.A in either English Language, Arabic Language, Kiswahili, History, Geography or Islamic Knowledge plus Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education; OR
  
  c) A holder of Bachelor Degree in any field of not less than 2.7 G.P.A plus Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education.
  
  Course duration: 18 months
•  Mkwawa University College of Education, Iringa  
  Minimum entry requirements:
  i First degree in education [e.g. B.A(Ed.), B.Ed. (Arts) or BSc.(Ed) degrees] from any recognised University with at least a lower second of GPA of not less than 2.7 or its equivalent. One has to have studied Geography in the undergraduate degree.
  
  OR
  
  ii First degree in BA (Geography and Environmental Studies) and others of that trend plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from any recognised institution with at least an average pass of B in their final University Examination
