    Admission requirements:
    A candidate wishing to be admitted for Master of Economics degree MUST meet the general University requirements.
    In addition to meeting the general University admission requirements, the candidate must have any of the following:
    1. A holder of at least Upper Second Class honours Bachelor’s degree in economics or related fields of University of Embu or an equivalent qualification from institutions recognized by University of Embu Senate.
    2. A holder of Lower Second Class honours degree of University of Embu or an equivalent qualification from institutions recognized by University of Embu Senate with at least two years of post-qualification work experience.
    3. In exceptional cases, the Senate may also admit to the Master’s programme, non-holders of a first degree provided such candidates can, on the basis of the research and academic work they have done, show that they are well qualified to undertake postgraduate work, by passing qualifying examinations.

    Bachelor’s degree in Economics with at least Second Class Honors (Upper Division) from Kenyatta University or a recognized institution of comparable status.
