  Admission Requirements:
  PGDip (Public Health) or equivalent with an average of at least 60% or equivalent learning (study for non-degree purposes or equivalent coursework at another institution) provided that the applicant is in possession of a: (i) Relevant honours degree or (ii) relevant four-year bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ applicable practical (work) experience or (iii) relevant three-year bachelor’s degree and at least five years’ applicable practical (work) experience
  
  Selection Process:
  Spaces are limited. The candidates who meet the admission requirements and with the highest merit point score calculated as follows, will be admitted:

  ·Under-represented groups in public health (20%)
  ·Public health related employment (20%)

  Course Entry Requirements:
  (a) A relevant Bachelor Honours degree or equivalent.
  (b) If Senate is satisfied that the candidate sufficiently qualify to pursue the programme
  envisaged for the degree of Master of Public Health, any of the following may be admitted
  as a candidate:
  (i) The holder of a degree of Bachelor of Arts or Sciences with Honours in Nursing,
  Psychology or Sociology or in a field which in the opinion of the Senate is relevant to
  public health.
  (ii) A graduate of any other university who has satisfied the Senate by means of a written
  or oral test (or both) or by means of any other mode of assessment to be determined
  from time to time by the Senate that he/she is qualified to undertake the line of study
  proposed or research (or both) required for the degree.
  
  Course Duration:
  (a) One year minimum
  (b) Three years maximum
•  University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg  
  Entry Requirements:
  - A bachelor’s degree of at least four years duration in dental science, medicine, surgery, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physiotherapy, Bachelor of Science Honours.
  - A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences with honours in psychology or sociology, social work or other field of relevance to public health.
  Entry into the programme is not automatic. You will have to apply for the MPH programme, and your application is subject to review by a selection panel.

  Admission requirements:
  
  Bachelors Honours Degree, or a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in the Health Professions.
  At least 3 years’ experience in a middle management position with a letter of approval from supervisor.
  Computer literacy
  
  ASELPH Additional requirements:
  Five years’ experience in a Health senior management position.
  A letter of recommendation from their Head of Department.
