    A) DIRECT ENTRY APPLICANTS

    i) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (SSSCE)

    Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics, plus three (3) elective subjects including Elective Mathematics, Physics and any of the following: Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Metal Work and Engineering Science.

    ii) West African Senior School Certificate Examination WASSCE

    Credit Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects, including English Language, Integrated Science and Mathematics, plus three (3) elective subjects including Elective Mathematics, Physics and any of the following: Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Metal Work and Engineering Scienc

    Iii) General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

    Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.

    iv) Technician Certificate

    Passes in Technician Parts I and II in Mechanical, Automotive, Production and Refrigeration Engineering plus passes in English, Mathematics and Science will enroll at level 200.
    Passes in Technician Part III in Mechanical, Automotive, Production and Refrigeration Engineering with a minimum of 2 years working experience will enroll in Semester II level 200. Candidates will have to go through a bridging programme of 3 months and pass an exam to qualify.
    A minimum of 3 credit passes in Intermediate Certificate II in Mechanical, Automotive, Production and Refrigeration Engineering, plus credit passes in English, Mathematics and Integrated Science will enroll at level 100.
    v) Higher National Diploma (HND)

    Holders in HND Certificates (minimum of 2nd Class Lower) in Mechanical, Automotive, Production and Refrigeration Technology Engineering will enroll at Level 300.
    Holders of other qualifications in Mechanical, Automotive, Production and Refrigeration Technology Engineering that have been assessed to be equivalent to HND will be similar to (a) and will be considered.

    B) MATURE ENTRY APPLICANTS
    The applicant must be at least 25 years old, and show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which is at least 5 years old at the time of application.
    Applicant must pass Mature Students’ Entrance Examinations conducted by the University (English Language, Mathematics and an Aptitude Test).

    C) FOREIGN QUALIFICATIONS
    All international qualifications will be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission into the programme in line with (GTEC Act, 2007 [Act 774 (2(2b)].

    Course entry requirements:
    (a) SSSCE Applicants: passes (A-D) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated science and must possess a minimum of D in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialisation.

    (b) WASSCE Candidates: passes (A1-C6) in three (3) core subjects namely English Language, Mathematics and Integrated science and must possess a minimum of C6 in any three (3) of the passes relevant to the area of specialisation.

    (b) GBCE/ABCE Candidates: Passes in three (3) subjects at GCE ‘A ‘Level including Mathematics and any Two (2) of the passes relevant to the area of specialisation. In addition, candidates must have Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level credits including English and Mathematics. Candidates with two good passes in Mathematics and Physics at GCE ‘A ‘Level may be considered.

    (c) Certificate II Applicants: applicant must have passes in three (3) core subjects (English language, mathematics and Integrated science) plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.

    (d) Professional Certificate Holders: Applicants holding part I of ACCA or ICA or institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) or Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), with credit passes in SSCE/WASSCE English Language and Mathematics will be admitted to level 200. Applicants with part II of any above professional qualification and credit passes in SSCE/WASSCE English Language and Mathematics will be admitted to 300. In all cases, however, applicants will be required to take our “Institution and Faculty courses” which were not studied during their professional examinations.

    (e) Diploma Holders: DBS holders with credit passes will be admitted to level 100. Candidates holding DCA and equivalent qualification with GPA of 2.5 or better and credit passes in English Language and Mathematics will be admitted to level 200. Applicants with Diploma in Business Administration (DBA) and credit passes in English Language and Mathematics will be admitted to level 200.

    (f) Higher Diploma Holders: Applicants with HND or Higher Diploma in related fields will be admitted to level 300.

    Entry Requirements for Mature Degree Applicants:
    Applicants must be twenty-five (25) years old and must show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which is five (5) years old at the time of application.

    -Must pass a written examination and an interview to be conducted by the University.
    -Must provide evidence of at least two (2) years’ work experience.

    Course entry requirements:
    a. WASSCE /SSSCE/GBCE Candidates

    Credit Passes (A1-C6 /A-D) in three (3) core subjects including English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credit passes in three (3) related elective subjects.

    b. GCE ‘O’ Level Candidates

    Five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics and two (2) elective subjects.

    c. Mature Candidates

    i) Must be 25 years old with legitimate documentary proof which is at least five (5) years old at the time of application.

    ii) Must have at least two (2) years work experience (A letter from employer is required)

    iii) Must pass a written examination or show proof of two (2) credit passes in English language and Mathematics in SSSCE/WASSCE or any other nationally recognised standard high school level examinations.

    iv) A pass in any two (2) subjects at Senior High School, ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels, GBC, RSAII.

    d. HND Candidates

    i) Applicants with HND certificate will be admitted to level 300.

    e. Advanced Level and Professional Candidates

    i. Candidates with part of Professional Certificates with a minimum of Part 1 of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Chartered Institute of Marketing, Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Institute of Taxation, Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators, London Centre of Marketing, Institute of Commercial Management, the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (Diploma or level 4) etc. may be considered for admission.

    ii. Candidates with Teachers' Certificate 'A' and a pass in English, Mathematics and two business related subjects at the GCE 'O' level or Senior High School or GBC or RSAII etc may be considered for admission.

    iii. RSAIII/ABC holders with passes in at least three (3) subjects may be considered for admission into level 100 or 200.

    f. DBS or other Non-Tertiary Diploma holders

    i) Candidates with passes in at least four (4) subjects may be considered for admission to level 100 or 200.
