  Flight Operations Officer (FOO/Flight Dispatcher) is a highly skilled aviation professional and often referred to a Pilot on ground.
  
  Course Objectives:
  Objectives
  1. Equip the FOO trainee with the various local and international regulations applicable in flight operations.
  2. Equip FOO trainees with sufficient knowledge required to assist Pilot in command in flight planning, decision making and for safe flight
  3. Enable FOO make informed decisions and provide assistance to a flight incase of an emergency, incidents or accidents.
  4. Understand factors that affect flight safety such as weather, NOTAMs.
  5. Enable FOO trainee identify and familiarize with various procedures, documents and systems used in real world flight operations.
  6. Learn fundamentals of aircraft performance, calculation and limitations applied in dispatch of a flight.

  Entry Requirements:
  - Have a minimum aggregate pass of ‘C’ at the KCSE or its equivalent.
  - Have a grade ‘C’ or equivalent in any three of the following subjects; Mathematics; English; Physics or physical science; and Geography.
  - Be at least eighteen years of age subject to licensing limitations of 21yrs;
  Be able to demonstrate the ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language;
  - Be in possession of Certificate of Good conduct.
  - Have sufficient knowledge of mathematics and physics to facilitate an understanding of the theoretical knowledge instruction content of the course.
  - Pass an Aerosafe FOO course entry Aptitude Test.
  
  Course Duration:
  A minimum of Six hundred hours of theoretical knowledge training. Practical training is required before grant of an FOO licence of a minimum three months internship.

  Flight operation officer (FOO) also known as a flight dispatch or airline dispatcher is an aviation course that prepares one in planning flight paths, aircraft performance and loading , enroute winds, thunderstorm and turbulence forecast, airspace restrictions and airport conditions.
