  Course entry requirements:
  -Applicants should possess any of the following qualification:
  At least five Ordinary Level credit passes in WASC, WAEC SSCE/GCE, NECO SSCE or any of their recognized equivalent at not more than two sittings. The subjects include English Language Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
  NOTE: The University Matriculation Examination (UME) subjects are
  a. Use of English
  b. Any three of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
  B. Admission Requirements for the Three-Year Full-Time Degree Programme (Direct Entry):
  In addition to requirement in A above, candidates who possess any of the following qualifications may be considered for admission:
  (i) At least two Advanced Level passes in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) or the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or any of their recognized equivalent at not more than two sittings. The subjects should be selected.
  (ii) At least a credit level pass in the University of Benin Diploma in any of the following:
  (a) Geology (DIG)
  (b) Science Laboratory Technology (DSLT)
  (iii) Diploma from other recognized Universities with at least an Upper credit level pass in the areas listed in B. (ii) above.
  (iv) Ordinary National Diploma (OND) with at least an Upper credit level pass in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT, Mining or other relevant areas from a recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology or Petroleum Training Institute (PTI).
  (v) Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least a Lower credit level pass in Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Mining or other relevant areas from recognized Polytechnic or College of Technology or Petroleum Training Institute (PTI).
  (vi) Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least a credit level pass in Biology or Chemistry from a recognized College of Education. In addition candidates should have at least an overall merit level pass.

  Course entry requirements:
  -Current Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) Result
  -Five O' Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English, and any other 2 Social Sciences or Arts Subjects are required for admission into College of Law.
  -Five O' Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at one sitting to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology are required for admission into the MBBS Programme.
  -Other Programmes: Five O' Level (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB and IGCSE) Credit Passes at not more than two sittings to include English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other subjects relevant to course of study.
  -Results of PAST Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examinations (UTME) are not allowed.
  -Candidates awaiting SSCE results or its equivalent can also apply for admission provided they qualify when results are available.

  -Applicants must write UTME and attain an acceptable score (National JAMB Minimum Cutoff) in the use of English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or any other relevant science subject .
  
  -For a candidate who has attained the acceptable standard in the UTME to be registered for either B.Sc in Geology or B.Sc. Applied Geophysics in the University, he/she must have a minimum of Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
