  Admission Requirements
  
  UTME:
  
  Admission shall normally be by entrance examination organised by University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with minimum entry requirements of credit grade in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and any one from Technical Drawing, Economics, Land Surveying/Further Mathematics, Geography, Building Construction and Fine Art, obtained from the following examinations:
  West African School Certificate (WASC).
  Senior Secondary School Certificate ( SSCE ).
  National Examination Council ( NECO).
  NABTEB or any other certificate recognised by NUC.
  
  Direct Entry:
  
  Students can be admitted by placement from the Pre-degree or Remedial Studies of the University. Holders of OND in Building, Civil Engineering and other appropriate Disciplines with passes at upper credit or HND lower credit, N.C.E. (Tech) Building –credit, would be admitted into the 200 level of the programme, provided he or she required O’level subjects, while HND upper credit may be considered for 300 level provided he or she has the minimum O’level requirement. Transfer cases from other institutions on good grounds could be admitted to appropriate part of the programme provided that any deficiency in their background in made up.
•  The Federal Polytechnic,Bida, Bida  
  (a) To qualify for this program, applicants are required to have 180 UTME scores and must have passed in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two from:
  
  (i) Chemistry
  
  (ii) Geography
  
  (iii) Economics
  
  (iv) Fine Art
  
  (v) Technical drawing
  
  (vi) Building Construction and Biology.
  
  
  (b) Direct entry into 200 level
  
  Applicants must in addition to UTME qualification in (a) above have lower credit at National Diploma (ND) or merit at NCE level.
  
  Candidate with IJMB must score a minimum of five points or four points (CPES, FUT, Minna) and pass at least two (2) subjects relevant to their proposed courses.
  
  
  
  (c) Direct entry into 300 level
  
  Applicants must in addition to UTME qualification in (a) above have lower credit at Higher National Diploma (HND) level in their proposed courses.
•  Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma  
  Entry requirements:
  1.Admission is by concessional examination organized by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). To be eligible for admission, candidates must have at least five (5) credits in the West African School Certificate or its equivalent at not more than two sittings.
  2.Details of subjects required are in faculty handbook.
  3Candidates for admission may be required to attend an interview.
  4.Admission requirement are as provided for in the general University Regulations.
  5.Direct Entry requirement are as specified in the relevant section of this handbook.
