    Admission Requirements:
    1. Common regulations for the Master’s degree in the University of Nairobi.
    2. Holders of a degree of the University of Nairobi of at least Upper Second Class in Science, Engineering, Agriculture or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by Senate.
    3. Holders of the degree of the University of Nairobi in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Dentistry or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the Senate.
    4. Holders of Lower Second Class degree in areas specified in (2) plus at least two years relevant research/work experience may be considered for admission.
    5. Holders of Lower Second Class degree in areas specified in (2) plus a Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant disciplines.
    6. Holders of a Pass degree in areas specified in (2) plus a Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant disciplines or at least three years relevant research/work experience may be considered for admission.

    (i) A holder of at least B.Sc Second Class Honors (upper division) in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology and Horticulture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

    (ii) A holder of at least B.Sc Second Class Honors (upper division) in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Biochemistry, Food Science and Technology and Horticulture or an equivalent qualification of an Institution recognized by the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Senate as comparable academic status.

    (iii) In exceptional cases a holder of a second Class Honors (Lower Division) degree in the subjects areas listed in (i) and (ii) provided the candidate has at least 2 years research experience as evidenced by relevant publications.
