    Course entry requirements
    -Applicants for the MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology/Behaviour programme must have a first or second class Level 8 honours degree (NFQ or other internationally recognised equivalent) in a cognate field (e.g., psychology, HRM, HRD, etc.). Three or more years’ work experience is preferred for applicants with a second class (lower) honours degree.

    -Applicants with an undergraduate psychology degree, accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), are eligible to apply for the MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology. Please note that the onus is on the applicant to prove recognition of their degree by the PSI. All other applicants are eligible to apply for the MSc in Work & Organisational Behaviour.

    -The University reserves the right to shortlist and interview applicants as deemed necessary.

    -In the case of international students, applicants must hold a qualification that is equivalent to an Irish or UK honours bachelor's degree (NQAI level 8). The degree must be in a discipline relevant to the postgraduate degree sought.

    -A CV which includes the jobs you have held in the last 5 years, with a brief description of principal duties

    -If this is not available, the following additional documents must be provided:
    • English translation of your qualification(s)/transcripts

    About the course:
    The programme aims to produce professionally qualified Organizational Psychologists and Organizational Behaviour specialists who shall:
    • Develop the ability to objectively analyze specific and related aspects of the structure of an organization and the tasks it performs;
    • Have a complete understanding of both the measurement and influence of individual differences such as personality, motivation, leadership style and attitudes on organizational performance and efficiency;
    • Be cognisant of the available methods of employee testing, appraisal and development, appropriate to organizational rationale;
    • Be capable of analyzing organizational staffing needs and prescribing job analysis, recruitment and selection techniques for that organization;
    • Develop distinctive psychological skills for the diagnosis of specific aspects of organizational behaviour and functioning such as training, decision-making, restructuring, problem-solving and job design;
    • Develop the ability to aid organizations embrace teamworking, multi-cultural workplace integration and innovative management techniques.
    This programme is delivered on a part-time basis over two years. Classes take place once a week on Tuesdays, 3.00 - 8.15pm.
