    Course entry requirements
    For Malaysian Students:

    (i) Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
    -Pass STPM/equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.00 or grade C for two (2) subjects and Pass Mathematics and Bahasa Inggeris at SPM Level.

    (ii) Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)
    -Pass STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid (taken within 2 years prior to application) and Credit in Bahasa Melayu, Pass Mathematics and Bahasa Inggeris at SPM Level.

    (iii) A-Level
    -Pass A-Level with Gred C in 2 subjects.

    (iv) Matriculation
    -Pass Ministry of Education (MOE) Matriculation programme with minimum CGPA of 2.00.

    (v) Foundation
    -Pass Foundation Studies with minimum CGPA of 2.00.

    (vi) Diploma
    -Pass Diploma programme with minimum CGPA of 2.00 from recognized institution by Government of Malaysia.

    (vii) Diploma Vocational Malaysia (DVM)
    -Pass DVM in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 AND Pass Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) / An Academic Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.33 or higher/ A Vocational CGPA of 3.67 or higher and competent in all vocational modules/ A credit in Bahasa Melayu (SVM 1104)/ **Cohort 2013 onwards also need to get an exemption from obtaining a passing grade for Sejarah at SPM level.

    (viii) UEC (Unified Examination Certificate)
    -Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in 5 subjects.

    (ix) International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB)
    -A pass in IB with minimum of 30 points.

    (x) HND(UK) Diploma
    -Pass HND in related field with minimum CGPA 2.00.

    (xi) SAME/WACE/AUSMAT
    -Pass South Australian Matriculation (SAM) and South Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with 70%, or South Australia Certificate of Education (SACE) and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) with Band 2 in 2 subjects.

    (xii) Others
    -Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

    ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS

    For Malaysian Students:

    Students have taken MUET before enrol. However, students are required to complete MUET during the duration of the study (before graduation). IELTS (5.0 and above) or TOEFL (500 and above) or TOEFL Internet-Based Test (42 and above) is also accepted.

    For International Students:

    International students are required to have one of the English proficiency scores stated below to enrol in UNITEN. Bachelor students who do not fulfil this English requirement are required to sit for the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and pass the requirement below before starting their Bachelor programme.

    MUET – Malaysia University English Test
    Achieve Band 3 and above

    IELTS – International English Language Testing System
    Achieve 5.5 and above

    TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language
    Achieve 500 (TOEFL) or 46 (TOEFL Internet Based Test) and above

    Pass Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5, KKM) with minimum CGPA 2.0 in the relevant field.

    (v) Option 5: Entry with Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)
    Entry Requirement with DKM / DVM subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.

    (vi) Option 6: Entry with Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)
    Entry Requirement with DLKM subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.

    (vii) Option 7: Entry with Other Recognised Qualification
    -Other recognized qualifications are equivalent to that by the Government of Malaysia.

    Additional requirements for International Students.
    -Achieve a minimum BAND 3 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (Low B2).
