  Admission requirements:
  I, Admission policy:
  
  The admission into the B.Ed. Educational Management/Economics is done through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry by Joint Matriculation Board (JAMB). The entry requirements seek to ensure that those admitted have necessary aptitude to benefit from the programme.
  
  II, Admission through UTME:
  
  Candidates seeking admission through UTME into the four-year B.Ed. degree programme in Educational Management/Economics should meet the university, College and Department standards as well as the specific programme with its option requirements. The candidates should possess at least credit passes in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects at not more than two sittings in West African School Certificate (WASC) or West African Senior Secondary Certificate, General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level), National Examination Commission (NECO), or its equivalent. This should be a follow up to a satisfactory performance in the Joint Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB) and satisfactory performance in the Post- UTME Screening Interview conducted by the university.
  
  III, Admission by Direct Entry:
  
  Candidates seeking admission into the three-year B.Ed. degree programme in Educational Management/Economics by Direct Entry should possess in addition to the O’ Level requirements stated above, one of the following:
  
  i. Advance Level General Certificate of Education (GCE A’ Level) in at least two relevant subjects in not more than two sittings
  
  ii. Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with an overall pass at MERIT level or above and minimum of credit in Economics from recognized institution.
  
  iii. NCE at merit level in Economics will be placed at 100 level.
  
  iv. Teachers’ Grade 11 Certificate with a minimum of five passes at MERIT level including English Language and Mathematics.
  
  v. Diploma in Education or any other area
  
  Duration :4 or 5 years

  Admission requirements:
  UTME
  
  The University general admission requirements for a four-year degree programme are five credits in the senior secondary school certificate (SSCE) including English language and Mathematics obtained in not more than two sittings in addition to an acceptable pass in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  
  Direct Entry:
  
  1.A pass at merit level in a relevant diploma or NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education) provided the candidate satisfies the o’level English and Mathematics requirements, or at least two passes in relevant subject area at advanced level, with satisfactory results in SSCE/GCE O/L or other approved equivalents.
  
  2.Passes in two relevant/major subjects in the NCE, with satisfactory results in SSCE/GCE O/level credit passes or the equivalent. In addition, candidates for B.Sc Business Education, having OND, NCE and other advanced certificates in business related areas are qualified for admission provided they possess acceptable qualifications in relevant subjects at the SSCE or its equivalent.
•  Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze  
  Course entry requirements
  
  (i) UTME: Candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 180 and above with credit passes in English Language Mathematics and any other three (3) subjects relevant to the course of study, are requested to get in touch with Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze for admission.
  
  (ii) Direct entry: Possession of NCE. OND, Diploma (UNIZIK only) in relevant areas in addition to O’level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subjects relevant to the course of study.
  
  Course duration: 3 years for direct entry and 4 years for UMTE/JAMB entry.

  Admission requirements:
  Direct entry:
  i. NCE merit level pass in Business Education
  (Double Major).
  ii. Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects:
  Economics and any two of Accounting,
  Geography, Government, Business Management.
  iii. Two ‘A’ Level passes in two relevant subjects.
  iv. NCE with Merit passes in two relevant subjects
  Financial Accounting, Office Management.
  
  UTME:
  Five O/Level credit passes in
  English Language, Mathematics,
  Economics and two subjects from
  Arts or Social Sciences, Data
  Processing/Office Practice,
  Financial Accounting.

  Admission Requirements (JAMB/Direct Entry):
  The minimum entry requirement for admission into Lead Ciity University is GCE O/L, SSCE/NABTEB/ NECO or equivalent credit level pass in five(5) subjects, including English Language, and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings. Those with additional (Direct Entry) qualification such as University Diploma, NCE, IJMB, OND, GCE 'A' Level or equivalent professional qualification etc are to proceed from part II. However, candidates awaiting result may apply provided evidence of results would be available before resumption.
