    Admission criteria:
    (A) Admission requirements for the 4 year degree programe:
    Candidates seeking admission into the Four-Year Degree Programme should possess any of the following qualifications:

    At least five Ordinary Level credit passes in WASC, WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECOSSCE or at least five merit-level passes in the Teachers Grade II (TC II) examinations or its recognized equivalents at not more than two sittings. The subjects should include English Language and French.

    Note: UME subjects are:

    Use of English.
    Any combination of three subjects either in Arts, Sciences or Social Sciences.
    Candidates for syllabus ‘B’ programme need not have previous knowledge of French provided that they have credit-level passes in at least one Arts subject and four other subjects one of which should be English Language in WASC, WAEC, SSCE/GCE, NECO-SSCE or at least five merit-level passes in the Teachers Grade II (TC II) examinations two of which should be Arts subjects at not more than two sittings.

    B. Admission requirements for the three year full time degree programme(Direct entry)

    In addition to A above, candidates who possess any of the following qualification may be considered for admission:

    At least two Advanced Level passes in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) or Higher School Certificate (HSC) or its recognized equivalent at not more than two- sittings in the relevant Arts subjects.
    At least a credit-level pass in a Diploma in the relevant Subject from the University of Benin or its equivalent (Upper Credit)from any recognized University.
    National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least a credit-level pass in English/ French from a recognized College of Education. In addition, candidates should have at least an overall merit-level pass.
    (iv) Diploma (DiplômeD’EtudesFrançaises3eDegré) of the Alliance Française, the Nigerian French Language Village, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

    Admission requirements for the six year part time degree programme

    Candidates seeking admission into this Programme should possess any of the following qualifications:

    -At least five credit-level passes in WASC, WAECSSCE/GCE, NECOSSCE or at least five merit-level passes in the Teachers Grade II (TC II) examinations or its recognized equivalent at not more than two sittings. The subjects should include English Language. Such Candidates will be required to show evidence of a proven knowledge of the French Language (e.g. Alliance Française Certificate).
    For entry into the second year, candidates should possess at least a credit-level pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE) or at least a credit-level pass in a Diploma in the relevant subject or equivalent qualification from any recognized University.

    (B) Direct Entry into 200-Level:
    Candidates for admission into 200-level must have, in addition to requirement for admission into 100-level, passed G.C.E(A/L) in 2 relevant subjects or passed NCE, OND, HND or equivalent at not less than lower credit level.

    (C) JAMB REQUIREMENTS
    100 Level Candidates are required to sit for the 2017/2018 UTME of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attain the prescribed cut-off marks. This is a statutory requirement for admission into Samuel Adegboyega University. Applicants are to ensure that their UTME subject combinations qualify them for their chosen programmes. Direct Entry candidates must obtain the JAMB Direct Entry Forms. Candidates, who did not choose Samuel Adegboyega University initially in their 2017 UTME but are interested, are also eligible to apply for admission and participate in the admission screening exercise of the University.
