•  Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot  
  Course entry requirements:
  (a) SSC or its equivalent with credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
  (b) Bachelor’s Degree in any field of specialization with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from a recognized University.
  (c) Candidates with 3rd Class Degree in areas other than Library and Information Science with three years relevant post qualification experience may be considered for admission.
  (d) HND in Library and Information Science, at Upper Credit Level.
  (e) Candidates who possess HND in Library and Information Science at a Lower Credit Level with 5 years cognate post-qualification experience may be considered.
•  University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nsukka  
  The following candidates will be considered for admission:
  1. Graduates of University of Nigeria or other approved Universities who have a
  Bachelor degree, second class (lower division) with the minimum of GPA of 2.50 on
  a 5-point scale in discipline other than Library and Information Science.
  2. Graduates of this University or other approved universities who have a third class
  degree with a GPA of at least 2.00 on a 5-point scale in Library and Information
  Science.
  3. HND in Library and Information Science with at least upper credit pass level in an
  approved institution.
  
  Course duration: Minimum of 12 months and maximum of 24 months.
•  The Federal University of Technology Akure, Akure  
  Course entry requirements:
  (a) A first degree, not lower than Third Class, in the relevant discipline.
  (b) Higher National Diploma (HND) of at least Lower Credit level or its equivalent in the relevant or related discipline.
  
  Course duration:
  (a) Full-Time students shall normally spend between eighteen (18) and twenty-four (24) months.
  (b) Part-Time students shall normally spend between eighteen (18) and thirty-six (36) months.

  Course entry requirements:
  (i) First degree from any recognized University with a Pass Degree
  (ii) First degree from any recognized University with Third Class Degree
