  Graduates of the University of Nigeria or other recognized institutions possessing the Degree of Master of Science in Public Administration with a G.P.A. of 4.0 and above on a 5-point scale. In addition, the candidate must satisfy the Departmental O-Level and/or Direct Entry general entry requirements
  
  Course duration:
  Full-time: A Minimum of six (6) semesters, a maximum of ten (10) semesters.
  Part-time: A Minimum of ten (10) semesters and a maximum of twelve (12)
  semesters.
  
  For extension beyond the specified maximum period, a special permission of the
  Postgraduate Board shall be required.

  Course entry requirements:
  -Master’s degree with a weighted average score of 60% and above (CGPA of not less than 4.0 on a 5 point scale)
  
  -Candidates who do not make up to 60% (≥ 55% or CGPA of not less than 3.5 on a 5 point scale) or deficient in some prerequisite courses especially from another institution may be required to register for the M.Phil/Ph.D. programme. The Department may prescribe appropriate courses for candidates whose academic record is considered deficient for the area of specialization.

  -Applicants must possess a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Public Administration from Lagos State University or any other recognized University whose weighted course work is not less than 60% or CGPA of 4.0 and above.
