    Course entry requirements:
    (i) West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Applicants

    Candidates with the Senior High School Certificate must in addition to credit (A1 – C6) in the three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science), obtain Credits in Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, Biology or General Agriculture and Social Studies, Business, General Arts with Economics. The minimum requirement should be an aggregate score of 36 or better in the WASSCE.

    (ii) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) Applicants

    Candidates with the Senior High School Certificate must in addition to credit (A – D) in the three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science), obtain Credits in Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, Biology or General Agriculture and Social Studies, Business, General Arts with Economics. The minimum requirement should be an aggregate score of 24 or better in the SSSCE.

    (iii) General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level

    5 Credits (including English Language, Mathematics, an Arts subject and a Science subject) in the WAEC General Certificate of Education (GCE/WASC) Ordinary Level Examination; and 3 passes at the Advanced Level of the GCE. One of the Advanced Level passes should be a grade D or better. A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.

    (iv) GBCE/ABCE Applicants

    GCE candidates must have five credits at the Ordinary Level examination or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics and either (i) Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science or (ii) General Science, Additional General Science, and any other subject (e.g. Economics, Geography, and Introduction to Business Methods etc). In addition, candidates should obtain three passes at the GCE Advanced Level or equivalent in either: (i) Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, and Biology/Agricultural Science or (ii) Economics, Mathematics, and Business Management/Geography.

    (v) Mature Applicants

    Mature Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years and above and must have Credit in English and Mathematics at the GCE O’Level/SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE. Applicants without Credit in English and Mathematics must pass an aptitude test in English and Mathematics.

    Candidates in these categories (a) (b) and (c) will be admitted to level 100



    (vi) Post-Secondary Teachers Certificate

    Candidates with Post-Secondary Teachers Certificate, Agricultural Science option with either Science or Mathematics combination or Agricultural College Certificate in Animal Health and Production may be admitted to Level 200

    (vii) Diploma

    Candidates with the relevant Diploma from KNUST, University of Ghana (UG) or its equivalent from a recognised University must have a Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 60 (KNUST Diplomates) and a B+ average (UG Diplomates) or from any other recognised Diploma awarding institutions may be admitted to Level 300.

    Course entry requirements
    (i) Senior Secondary School Certificate: Passes in core English, core Mathematics, core Science and three elective subjects, with an aggregate score of 24 or better in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or with an aggregate score of 36 or better in the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).All passes must be at grade D (SSSCE) or grade C6 (WASSCE) or better.

    (ii) General Certificate of Education: An applicant must have at least credit-level passes in 5 subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) at the GCE Ordinary Level and at least 2 passes at the GCE Advanced Level. One of the advanced level passes must be grade ‘D’ or better. A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.

    (iii) Professional Qualifications: Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) with at least 3 Credits and 2 passes awarded by the Technical Examination Unit of GES. Other qualifications such as Private Secretary and Bilingual Secretaryship are eligible.

    (iv) Mature Student’s Entry Requirement): Applicants without the formal academic qualifications may be considered for admission if they are above 25 years old and have demonstrable relevant professional experience. Applicants will also be required to pass an entrance examination and / or an interview.
