  Course entry requirements:
  Applicants should possess at least:
  a. A good honours degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division (2.2) in Philosophy of the Department of Philosophy, Lagos State University, or any Department of Philosophy of a university in Nigeria or elsewhere in the world, recognized by the Senate of the university.
  b. In exceptional circumstances, graduates of other disciplines may be considered for admission.
  The department may recommend remedial courses in philosophy for such students where some deficiencies are noticed.
  c. Candidates must satisfy the O’ Level admission requirements as spelt out by the Postgraduate
  School.
  d. All candidates shall be subjected to a selection process
  
  Course duration: 2 semesters
•  University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nsukka  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) Graduates of the University of Nigeria or of other approved Universities, who have obtained a single honours degree in philosophy or a combined honours degree with any of the Departments in the Faculty of Arts and the Social Sciences, with at least Second Class Honour or its equivalent or
  (ii) Candidates who hold qualifications other than (i) above, which are acceptable to Senate are admitted to this programme.
  
  Course duration:
  a) A full-time M.A program me shall run for a minimum of three semesters and for a
  maximum of four semesters;
  ii) A part-time M.A. programme shall run for a minimum of six semesters and for maximum of eight semesters.

  Course entry requirements:
  (a) SSC or its equivalent with credit passes in five (5) relevant subjects including English Language at not more than two sittings.
  (b) A minimum of Second Class Lower Division at the Bachelor’s Level in Philosophy from a recognized University.
  (c) Holders of Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy at Distinction Level from a recognized University.
