•  Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Minna  
  Minimum entry requirement:
  Students with West African School Certificates or its equivalents with pass at credit level in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics and English language are encouraged to apply. They should also have acceptable score in the University Matriculation Examination required for entry at the 100-level class and fulfil other basic general requirements of entering Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University. A good grade point average at the end of the first year studies at IBB University will be an advantage.
  
  -In addition to satisfying the conditions above, candidates for direct entry should satisfy qualifications in one of the following categories:
  (1) Advance Level Certificate of the West African Examination Council or General Certificate of Education with passes in courses (graded A— E) or its equivalent in Biology and Chemistry, Physics and/or Mathematics;
  (2) Either Ordinary National Diploma (OND), Higher National Diploma (HND), National Certificate of Education (NCE) or equivalent qualifications in Biology, Chemistry that are acceptable to the Senate of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai.

  Minimum entry requirement:
  1. Ordinary level Requirements
  -Five credit passes in GCE (or Equivalent) examination at not more than two sittings with at least two passes at the Advanced (‘A’) level GCE;
  -Four credit passes at advanced level or its Equivalent
  
  2. UTME Requirements
  -The Senior Secondary School or the School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (SSCE/GCE) ordinary level credit passes in five subjects including Chemistry, Physics and Biology for Sciences and Mathematics, English, Economics, Commerce or Accounting, Government and Biology/Agric. Science for Management Sciences)
  -Grade II Teacher’s Certificate with Credit/merit passes in at least five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Economics;
  -An acceptable score in the UTME as may be determined by the University from time to time; and
  -JAMB combination MUST include Mathematics, Economics, and Accounting or Commerce
  
•  Michael Okpara Federal University of Agriculture, Umudike  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) UTME: To qualify for the 5 years BSc. Programme in Food Science and Technology, candidates require a minimum of five (5) Ordinary Level Credit passes in West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE) or National Examination Council Ordinary Level (NECO) in not more than two sittings. The credits must be obtained in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidate must also meet the JAMB pass mark and include subjects- English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.
  
  (ii) Direct Entry: For the direct entry admission, candidates require at least an upper credit in OND/HND in Food Science and Technology, or related disciplines in combination with “O” Level results as stipulated by the Department. Qualified candidates will be admitted into 200 Level.

  The minimum admission requirement for Engineering and Technology disciplines should be passes at credit level in the Senior Secondary School final year examination or GCE ‘O’ Level in five subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry. and Biology or Agricultural Science. Candidates are also required to have acceptable pass in UTME. It is also desirable for candidates to have Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing at credit levels. Such candidates shall have added advantage.
  
  DIRECT ENTRY
  
  For Direct Entry, candidates must have passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at GCE ‘A’ level or equivalent. Holders of OND and HND at minimum of upper credit level are eligible for consideration for admission into 200 and 300 levels respectively.

  Entry requirements:
  1.Obtain passes at the Advanced Level GCE or HSC/HND in Chemistry and at least one of the following; Biology, Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Science, Physics, Geography, Economics or Mathematics.
  2.Candidates who have obtained OND at approved Agricultural, Fisheries, Forestry, and Wildlife Schools with at least credit Passes in addition to UME requirements may be eligible for direct entry.
  3.NCE (Agric. Science) from a recognised College of Education, NND or HND from a recognised College of Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry and Wildlife with at least a credit pass.
  4.HND or NND in the Science (Chemistry, HND or NND Zoology, Botany, or Biology).

  The prospective student must possess credits in five ordinary level subjects in not more than two sittings. The subject must include Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology and English Language. Candidates are also expected to pass English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics in UTME.
  
  2 ‘A’ Level Passes to include Biology and Chemistry at GCE ‘A’ level or its equivalent.
  
  Holders of OND or HND at minimum of Lower Credit level are eligible for consideration for admission into 200 Level. NCE in relevant field

  Candidates seeking admission in any of the programmes must meet the University’s general admission requirement and also the Departmental requirements. An applicant for (B. Agric) Crop or Soil Science option must have passed a.UME and PUME Entry Requirement b.WASCE/GCE O’ Level/NECO with five credits obtained in not more than two sittings in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, Mathematics or Physic and any other subject. At least a pass in Physics and credit pass in Agric Science must be backed up by a pass in Biology.
