•  Bowen University, Iwo  
  Course entry requirements:
  (i) All candidates are required to possess a Bachelor’s degree obtained from a University approved by Senate and with a grade not less than Second Class Lower Division.
  (ii) A candidate with less than Second Class Lower Division plus a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in a relevant field from a recognized University.
  (iii) In addition to (i) and (ii) above, candidates must satisfy the Ordinary Level requirement of five (5 subjects which must include English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subject as may be specified for the programme of choice.
  
  Candidates in regular employment or employed at Bowen must indicate such and must submit with their applications, formal letter of release to Postgraduate College.
  
  Applicants who are not graduates of Bowen University must request their former Universities or institutions to forward directly to the College Administrator, College of Postgraduate Studies, Bowen University their academic transcripts as applicable.
•  University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nsukka  
  Course entry requirements:
  i. All candidates must possess the minimum of five O'Level Credit Passes which must
  include English Language and Literature in English.
  ii. Candidates must possess a good Bachelors degree in English Language or English
  Literature, not lower than a Second Class Lower division, from a recognized university.
  iii. All candidates shall be subjected to a selection process.
  
  Course duration:
  i. Full-Time: minimum of three semesters, and a maximum of four
  semesters.
  ii.Part time: minimum of six semesters and maximum of eight
  semesters.

  Minimum entry requirement:
  -A minimum of second class lower division in Bachelor of Arts and Education in English from any recognized University.
  -Candidates with single honors of same class as specified in a, above must possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
  -Five (5) credits including English language at not more than two (2) sittings.
  -Evidence of having completed NYSC or letter or certificate of exemption.

  Course entry requirements:
  a) Graduates of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun or other Universities recognized by the University Senate who have obtained the approved Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in the field of study.
  
  b) Candidates with Third Class Bachelor’s Degrees and Postgraduate Diploma in the same subject.
  
  c) Candidates with HND (Minimum of Lower CREDIT) and Postgraduate Diploma in the course applied for.
•  University of Jos, Jos  
  Entry Requirements:
  Candidates for admission into the Department of English (M.A. in English Language/Literature-in-English) must possess a minimum of five O' Level credit passes which must include English Language and Literature in English. A good Bachelor’s Degree in English Language or English Literature-in-English/English or/Linguistics which must not be below a second class lower division obtained from a recognized University.
•  Umaru Musa Yar'adua University Katsina, Katsina  
  Course entry requirements:
  -Graduates of recognized Universities who have obtained the approved Bachelors Degree in relevant field, with at least Second-Class Honors or its equivalent.
  -Candidates who hold qualifications other than the ones listed above, which are acceptable to the Senate of the University.
  
  Course duration: 4 to 6 Semesters
