  Specialization options: Sample Survey Theory and Methods, Design and Analysis of Experiments/Optimal Designs of Experiments, Multivariate Analysis, Non-Parametric Statistics, Time Series and Operations Research.
  
  Course entry requirements:
  (a) SSC or its equivalent with credit passes in at least 5 subjects including English Language, Mathematics and other relevant Science subjects at not more than two sittings.
  (b) M.Sc. Degree in Statistics from a recognized University with a minimum CGPA of 4.00 on a 5- point scale or 3.00 on a 4 -point scale or average of 60% (B).
  (c) Candidates who possess Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics with First Class honours could be admitted for the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes with the hope that after the M.Sc. course work and a satisfactory report by relevant Postgraduate Committees, the candidates’ programme could be changed for a full time Ph.D. programme.

  (a) A good Masters degree in the appropriate discipline with a CGPA of 3.50 and/or 60% minimum average score.
  (b) Any other qualification approved by Senate.
  
  Course duration:
  (a) Full-Time candidates may defend their theses between thirty-six (36) and forty eight (48) months.
  (b) Part-Time candidates may defend their theses between forty-eight (48) and sixty (60) months.
